About

I am an AI systems architect, but my path here was anything but linear. I build at the intersection of modern web infrastructure and agentic AI, driven by a simple philosophy: I am an autodidact who loves solving complex problems.

My career started over two and a half decades ago, programming real-time SCADA industrial automation systems. I then decided to move over to a corporate career, spending over a decade climbing the corporate ladder in business operations and executive leadership. I managed business turnarounds, restructured supply chains, and served as an executive assistant to the chairman of a multinational group. I learned exactly how businesses operate, scale, and sometimes fail.

But after reaching those executive highs, I realized I missed the nitty-gritty of building. I wanted the never-ending cycle of learning and application that only technology provides. So, I started over. I went back into the trenches as a full-stack web developer and cloud infrastructure engineer, meticulously learning how modern systems work under the hood.

When AI coding assistants emerged, I was initially skeptical. But once I integrated them into my workflow, it changed everything. I transitioned from hand-coding every line to orchestrating complex architectures alongside AI.

However, I quickly realized that AI is not a magic button—it is a massive multiplier for those who already know what they are doing. Many non-technical founders rely blindly on AI and get trapped in endless loops, struggling to move their applications beyond fragile proofs-of-concept. Because I did the hard work of mastering the underlying engineering principles first, I know how to design the architecture, direct the AI to accelerate the build, and catch the mistakes it inevitably makes.

Today, I run Thiru AI Labs, a solo AI systems studio. I document my learnings across three tracks: Engineering (architecture, deep-stack code, and AI orchestration), Product (building things people actually need), and Business (strategy, operations, and the realities of being a solo founder). I work remotely, and I share my journey publicly right here.

I also offer consulting services for teams building agentic AI systems.
